It was another snowy night at Zions Bank Stadium where the Utah Warriors hosted Rugby United New York on Friday evening. The Warriors were hoping for a better result than the late defeat suffered at the hands of NOLA, but faced a RUNY side full of confidence.
Utah were forced to make a late change to the roster as Ian Luciano stepped in for Sione Ika at scrumhalf just before kickoff. They also gave new signing Jeremy Leber his first run as a replacement.
New York had their own halfback issues as Cathal Marsh was forced off early with Chris Mattina stepping into the flyhalf position, giving Mike St. Claire his MLR debut as an emergency inside center.
