Facundo Gigena Scores First Try in English Premiership

This past weekend saw Facundo Gigena scoring his first try in the English Premiership. The Argentine loose head prop did so in what was the Leicester Tigers’ only try in their away match against the Sale Sharks.

In his third consecutive start for Leicester, Gigena managed to stretch over the dot the ball down on the try line. His 7th minute effort would give the Tigers a 5-0 lead but it would be the only score of the match as the Sale Sharks took control.

For Leicester the defeat seeing them languishing in 10th position out of 12. Their prospects of reaching the play-off’s are bleak and qualifying for the Champions Cup is presently an afterthought.
