ARC Highlights – Chile vs Argentina XV

In the final round of the 2019 ARC Chile played host to the Argentina XV. The home side was no match for this year’s champions who romped to an ARC record 85-10 victory. The resulted completed the Grand Slam for the Argentina XV and saw them securing bonus point wins in all matches.

In all the Argentina XV scored 13 tries, 12 more than that of Los Cóndores. Hooker Diego Fortuny, fly half Domingo Miotti, and scrum-half Gregorio del Prete all scored two tries. The star, though was Lucas Mensa who scored a hat-trick.

For the Argentina XV the title saw them hitting back at critics. Unlike in prior campaigns they stuck with the one playing roster throughout. This has an added advantage as the UAR is set to confirm a team to play in the Currie Cup. The team will be comprised predominantly of the same Argentine names from the ARC.
