RFU Championship – Week 16 Preview

With the Americas Rugby Championship still in full swing it’s a bit of a ghost town in the Championship as far as Americas involvement is concerned. Just two of the six games will feature internationals from this side of the pond with a total of five players on show.

Four of them will be in action on Friday evening at Lady Bay where Shane O’Leary and Nottingham host the Cornish Pirates. O’Leary will face two Canada teammates in Brett Beukeboom and Matt Evans, who start at lock and left wing respectively, while Argentine Olympian Javier Rojas lines up at inside center.

On Saturday Ealing will look to close the gap on London Irish hold when they host Hartpury at Vallis Way. Andrew Durutalo returns to the Trailfinders lineup at his preferred openside flank spot. It will be an all-Exiles tilt at the Madejski as Irish take on London Scottish. With each week the former inches closer to a return to the Premiership.
