Dominican sends two teams to Vegas Invitational

The Dominican Republic is entering two sides in the Las Vegas Invitational Sevens this weekend. A total of 25 players will travel as the team prepares for the 2019 Rugby Americas North sevens to be hosted in the Cayman Islands later this year.

Known as the Tainos, the Dominican side will be headed up by US Eagles Sevens cap Marcus Satavu, who will manage the side along with Rafael Domínguez and Davide Bellini. There are other USA connections in the side with captain Patrick Abreu formerly with Clemson University and Justin Lopez from the Delmarva Rugby Club in Delaware.

The three-day invitational tournament runs from Thursday to Saturday.
