Santiago Cordero Continues Strong Season With Try For Exeter

Santiago Cordero’s strong season continued this past weekend. The Argentine outside back started at fullback for the Exeter Chiefs and ran in the opening try of the club’s home match against the Newcastle Falcons.

The RWC 2015 Puma was a menace with ball in hand as not only did he score a try but he also made 90 meters in his carries throughout the match. It bodes well for Argentina who will need maximum firepower for RWC 2019 as they look to find a way to get through the Pool of Death in Japan.

For Exeter the win sees the club moving up to 57 competition points. The Chiefs are in top spot with 40 more points than Newcastle who are bottom and facing the serious prospect of relegation. They will be looking for a home win this coming weekend against Worcester. The Chiefs travel to Manchester to face the Sale Sharks.
