Pumas Sevens change three for North American leg

Argentina have made three change to their squad for the North American leg of the HSBC Sevens Series. Los Pumas are currently 9th overall on the circuit after missing the Cup Quarter Finals in each of the last three tournaments.

The team suffered a considerable blow as one of their form players – Marcos Moroni – has been ruled out for several months with a knee injury. Also absent from the team that played in Sydney are Lucio Cinti and Mateo Carreras who have joined up with the Pumitas u20 side.

Called up are two newcomers, Franco Florio and Joaquín de la Vega. The latter was most recently training with the Argentina XV for the Americas Rugby Championship. Recalled to the group after impressing on the Sudamerica Sevens Series is Maximo Provenzano.

Los Pumas will play in Pool B at the first North American stop in Las Vegas next weekend. There they will be joined by hosts USA, France, and Kenya.
