Anselmi to referee Highlanders vs Reds

Argentine referee Federico Anselmi is to officiate Friday’s Super Rugby match between the Highlanders and Queensland Reds. Taking place in Dunedin, New Zealand the fixture is to be a Trans-Tasman match-up between two original franchise in Super Rugby.

For the Highlanders vs Reds Anselmi will have the honors of officiating as referee. Joining him will be New Zealand officials Nick Briant, and James Doleman as the assistant referees. Fellow New Zealander Glenn Newman will be the TMO.

The fixture will be played at Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin. The same venue played host to Argentina vs England in RWC 2011. No Argentine referee officiated a match in that tournament with 2003 being the most recent edition to include an Argentine.
