Marcos Moroni Out for Eight Months

Marcos Moroni has been ruled out of rugby for eight months. The Los Pumas 7’s player was injured playing for Argentina at the Hamilton 7’s late last month.

Now back in Argentina it has been confirmed that Moroni will play no further part in the 2018-2019 World Sevens Series. He suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament to his left knee and is to undergo surgery later this month.

His potential return will not be until RWC 2019. His older brother, Matías Moroni is expected to play in the tournament. Matías Moroni was Argentina’s second choice outside center at RWC 2015 while today he competes with Matías Orlando for the spot.
