MLR Full Match – Austin Elite vs Toronto Arrows

Austin Elite hosted the Toronto Arrows at Dell Diamond on Friday night in Week 3 of the Major League Rugby season. It was Toronto’s second ever match, following up on their regular season debut against NOLA two weeks before. Played in cold, wet, and windy conditions the two sides were neck-and-neck for the full 80 minutes.

Making his debut for Austin was Uruguayan fullback Rodrigo Silva, while Chile’s Marcelo Torrealba was starting at scrumhalf. The Arrows handed first starts to several players including former Southland Stags prop Morgan Mitchell while Johnny Sheridan made his MLR debut on the wing.
