Reeves’ superb kicking display against Canada

In arguably his career high Brazilian flyhalf Josh Reeves scored all of his team’s points in Os Tupis’ 18-10 victory over Canada on Saturday. His goal-kicking saw him land 6 of 8 shots at goal with the final two being misses in what was a hot evening in São José dos Campos.

He lined up shots from a variety of angles and routinely found his target. This saw Brazil first catching up to Canada, and secondly putting a stranglehold on the visitors as the home side went on to win cleanly.

Reeves was not only impressive from the kicking tee. With ball in hand he also had his radar on the mark. There were two occasions in which he kicked well from deep to get Brazil out of its own 22, easing the pressure and complicating proceedings for Canada.
