MLR Highlights – Austin Elite vs Toronto Arrows

History was made on Friday evening as the Toronto Arrows recorded their first ever Major League Rugby victory. It would come at Dell Diamond at Round Rock, at the expense of hosts Austin Elite. The Arrows had to overcome adversity, not least the weather, with a late try from captain Dan Moor sealing the win.

The victory was especially pleasing for the Arrows as they were absent nine players on Americas Rugby Championship duty with another two unavailable. Austin meanwhile had four players away at the ARC, two injured, and a couple more still awaiting visa clearance.
