MLR Highlights – San Diego Legion vs Seattle Seawolves

The final match of the Major League Rugby weekend saw the San Diego Legion hosting the defending champion Seattle Seawolves at Torero Stadium. Rain poured down from start to finish and while that put a damper on expansive rugby, it made for some big collisions in the middle of the field.

San Diego were looking to bounce back from their loss to Rugby United New York in the opening week while Seattle had beaten the Glendale Raptors. The Legion featured notable returns for Eagles pair Mike Te’o and Nate Augspurger from injury, while the Seawolves handed a start to Canadian center George Barton and an MLR debut to replacement Scott Dean.
