Alemanno, Orlando Sign On Until 2020

Senior Jaguares Matías Alemanno and Matías Orlando have signed on with the UAR until 2020. Their new contracts will keep them in Argentina for the entirety of 2020 up until the completion of international duty.

Both men are regulars in the match-day 23 for both Super Rugby and in the test arena. Together with Tomás Lavanini and Guido Petti, Alemanno is one of three permanent specialist second-rowers for Los Jaguares and Los Pumas. Orlando is equally as important, and competes with Matías Moroni for the starting outside center spot.

Both players have ben Jaguares since the franchise’s debut in 2016. During his time Orlando has made 41 appearances in Super Rugby 35 of these have been in the starting line-up. He has six tries to his name as a Jaguar.

Alemanno has made 38 Los Jaguares appearances, 25 of which have been in the run-on team. He has a return of four tries during his three seasons of Super Rugby.

The signing of both Alemanno and Orlando comes as focus is directed at RWC 2019. The pairing are well positioned to represent their country in the sport’s leading competition. Alemanno played in RWC 2015, a tournament in which Argentina were Semi Finalists. Orlando missed out through injury.

The signatures of Alemanno and Orlando is important for the UAR. Pumas captain Pablo Matera will play for Stade Français next year with Agustín Creevy expected to join him.
