Sánchez stars but Toulon edge Stade Français

Nicolás Sánchez was in fine form it was quite enough to lead Stade Français to victory at Stade Félix Mayol. A last-gasp try by Filipo Nakosi sealed a stunning 33-30 comeback win for Toulon who were trailing by seven with only four minutes to play.

While Benjamín Urdapilleta and Patricio Fernández were busy dueling for a possible backup spot at RWC 2019, Sanchez reminded them why he is head and shoulders above the rest as first choice flyhalf for Los Pumas. He grabbed a superb individual try early in the second half to go with two conversions and two penalties before being replaced in the 65th minute by France international Jules Plisson.
