Guinness Pro 14 – Round 14 Preview

It’s a very quiet week as far as the Americas are concerned in the Guinness Pro 14. Only five players have been named and then only one starter. Four come from Argentina with one hailing from the USA.

David Tameilau is the lone North American selection. He will be on the bench for Glasgow Warriors in Friday when they host Ospreys. This will be the fourth Pro 14 appearance for Tameilau, who will soon join up with the Eagles for the Americas Rugby Championship.

Two Argentines are on the bench for Benetton Treviso. Tomás Baravalle will cover hooker despite his try-scoring efforts last week while Juan Ignacio Brex returns on the bench. The latter is eyeing up possible Italy representation through the Olympic Sevens loophole.

On Saturday Eduardo Bello will start at tighthead prop for Zebre as they head to South Africa to play the Cheetahs. Juan Pablo Socino is also in South Africa, named on the bench for Edinburgh in their match against the Southern Kings.
