Canada Maple Leafs named for Sudamérica Sevens Series

Canada has named a 13-man roster for upcoming Rugby Sevens international competition. The national men’s developmental side, the Maple Leafs will compete in the Sudamérica Sevens Series in Uruguay and Chile in January.

Included in the roster are four players with HSBC World Series Sevens experience – Josiah Morra, Cole Davis, Cooper Coats, and Jake Thiel. Davis also has six caps for Canada at test level. He is not alone in this regard as fellow roster member Andrew Coe has seven caps for Canada.

The Canadians are to join six South American countries in addition to USA, South Africa, Germany, Portugal, and Russia in Punta Del Este, and Viña Del Mar.
