Austin add Moroccan flyer Soheyl Jaoudat

Austin Elite have formally announced the signing of Moroccan international Soheyl Jaoudat for the 2019 Major League Rugby season. The 22-year-old speedster arrives from the Clermont Auvergne academy program where he won the 2018 French Espoirs championship.

Equally capable at wing or fullback, Jaoudat is an international in both sevens and the 15-a-side game for Morocco. He debuted in the abbreviated code at the age of 18 and made his test debut in 2016.

Jaoudat has since won 10 test caps for Morroco. He competed in the 2018 Africa Cup but was forced to withdraw after suffering a depressed skull injury while playing against Zimbabwe.

Austin have now confirmed seven new players but have several more already in training. Fewer than half of the 2018 roster are expected to return for the 2019 campaign.
