Seawolves sign Manawatu lock Brad Tucker

The Seattle Seawolves have completed the signing of second row Brad Tucker for the 2019 Major League Rugby season. The 26-year-old New Zealander is set to make his Seattle debut against the Vancouver Island Crimson Tide this weekend.

Tucker joins from the Manawatu Turbos, for whom he started six out of ten matches in the Mitre 10 Cup. The 6’5″ (1.95m) forward split his time between lock and No8. He was primarily a lock in the two previous Mitre 10 campaigns with Taranaki and Waikato respectively.

With the new addition Seattle have filled an important gap in their roster. They now have four senior locks with Jérémy Lenaerts, Taylor Krumrei, and Cam Polson all returning. Eric Duechle filled in when needed during the 2018 season but enters 2019 as the incumbent starting blindside flanker.
