European Challenge Cup – Round 3 Preview

After breaking for the November Internationals and domestic leagues the European Challenge Cup returns today. In round 3 of the season there are to be Eagles, Pumas and a Colombian flying the colors of the Americas.

Round 3 is to have two Friday fixtures, both of which are to be played in France. In Pau Argentine prop Ignacio Calles will feature from the bench against Worcester. Over in Grenoble Colombian second-rower Andrés Zafra and the USA eligible Dave Ryan will both feature as replacements for Agen.

On Saturday Paul Lasike will feature for the Harlequins. The hard-running Eagles mid-fielder has been named on the bench to take-on Benetton Treviso in Italy.

In Wales the Ospreys will play host to Stade Français. Featuring for the home side will be Guido Volpi. The uncapped Argentine forward is covering flanker. The eagerly awaited debut of Nicolás Sánchez for the Parisians has been put on hold with the club allowing his a rest period following a busy and productive 2018.

In France Bordeaux-Begles are to be at home against the Sale Sharks. The home side has named Argentine second-rower Mariano Galarza to start the match. Galarza made his test return last month after three years of no caps for Los Pumas.
