France’s second division continues with week 14 of the competition beginning today. In the latest round of the Pro D2 there are to be players from Argentina and Uruguay taking to the field in league matches today and tomorrow.
Week 14’s opening fixture sees Aix en Provence at home against Brive. Aix en Provence are coached by Canadian legend Jamie Cudmore. The team set to defend home turf includes Leandro Mario Assi. The Argentine prop will feature from the bench.
On Friday two Argentine players will start for Charente away to Nevers. Joel Sclavi has been named at tight head prop and Lucas Caneda on the wing.
Down in Colomiers two Argentine goal-kickers will play on opposing sides. Sebastián Poet starts at fly half for Colomiers while Martín Bustos Moyano will play fullback for the visiting Bayonne.
Two more Argentine players will also be involved in Bourg en Bresse vs Mont de Marsan. Starting at tight head for the home side will be Victor Damian Arias. He will be up against Uruguayan scrum half Agustín Ormeachea who starts for Mont de Marsan. Featuring from the bench will be Jerónimo Negrotto.
Concluding Week 14 of the Pro D2 will be a Sunday match. Carcassonne are at home against Oyonnax. Line-ups for the fixture will be confirmed on Saturday afternoon.
