Mo’ungaloa among Utah additions for 2019

US Eagles prop Huluholo Mo’ungaloa is set to revive his World Cup dreams with a spot on the Utah Warriors for the 2019 Major League Rugby season. The starting loosehead during the Americas Rugby Championship has been out in the cold since March after skipping out on the 2018 MLR campaign, but is one of several new names to be unveiled by the Warriors in the coming days.

Former USA Select XV hooker Alex Vorster will play a larger role in the team after making only one replacement appearance this past season and will be joined in the front row by New Zealand native Logan Daniels from the Waikato region. Park City Haggis loose forward Tucker Francis is another name new.

An already potent backs division welcomes Jeremy ‘The Missile’ Misailegalu from the Seattle Seawolves, with the creative Peceli Rinakama an option at flyhalf or out wide coming in from the New Orleans Gold. Arriving from the New England Free Jacks is Australian scrumhalf Ian Luciano, one of two new scrumhalves along with Jake Christmann from the Glendale Raptors.

Brazil flyhalf Josh Reeves remains the highest profile addition with others expected to bolster the team that has officially returned for preseason training.
