Dan Moor signs for Toronto Arrows

The Toronto Arrows have confirmed the signing of Canada winger Dan Moor for the 2019 Major League Rugby season. With 14 test caps to his name, all starts, the 28-year-old arrives from England where he has been playing professionally for Yorkshire Carnegie in the RFU Championship.

It’s an unexpected and impressive addition for Canada’s new professional outfit. Moor signed with Carnegie in August after playing for Oxford University last season and had been a regular for the Leeds-based side, starting seven of their nine league matches this season. He has been granted an early release to take up the opportunity of playing for his home city of Toronto.

Moor was on standby for Canada during the recent World Cup Repechage tournament and will now shoot back into the selection frame for the upcoming Americas Rugby Championship. He joins an impressive outside back corps at the Arrows that now features fellow Canadian internationals Kainoa Lloyd and Theo Sauder, Uruguay veteran Gastón Mieres, former Wales age-grade cap Jack Evans, and New Zealand-born Canada hopeful Aaron McLelland.
