Top 14 – Week 11 Preview

The Top 14 continues this weekend with Week 11 of the league taking place. It is the first round since the completion of the November Internationals. Players have plenty to play for as RWC 2019 draws closer.

8th host 10th with Lyon at home against Pau on Saturday. Starting at tight head prop for Lyon will be Francisco Goméz Kodela. The needs of Argentina’s scrum make him a name to monitor closely this season. Starting at no 8 for Pau will be Steffon Amirtage. Born in Trinidad & Tobago he is capped by England.

Last season’s champions Castres have a strong shot at winning at home as they play host to Agen. Captaining the Tarns will be Uruguayan Rodrigo Capó Ortega. Argentine Benjamín Urdapilleta joins the skipper in the run-on team. Involved for Agen from the bench will be Colombian second-rower Andrés Zafra and the USA eligible Dave Ryan.

4th host 3rd on the atlantic coast. La Rochelle is a formidable place for any side to get a win at. Racing 92 will be looking to do so with Juan Imhoff starting on the left wing.

In week 11 there are to also be two Sunday fixtures. Perpignan play host to Bordeaux while Toulouse host Stade Français in what used to be a classic. Line-ups for both matches will be named on Saturday afternoon.
