The November Internationals began and concluded together for Ireland and the USA. Both teams competed in Chicago in week 1 and finished the month facing-off in Dublin on Saturday.
The month was tremendous for Ireland who defeated Italy in Chicago, Argentina and New Zealand in Dublin and then finished by beating the USA, also in Dublin. With it Ireland are no 2 in the world and in their strongest ever position in finishing a year before a Rugby World Cup.
Not only after Ireland faced Italy did the USA face the Maori All Blacks. It was followed by a trip across the Atlantic Ocean to face Samoa in Spain and then Romania in Bucharest. The North Americans won both matches to continue their phenomenal year.
2018 concluded for the Eagles with them being overpowered by Ireland. Despite the defeat the Eagles did play some good rugby. Joe Taufete’e scored one of the best tries by a hooker one could wish to see and the forwards also scored a penalty try.
