Top 14 – Week 10 Preview

The Top 14 resumes this weekend with a full round of league matches. It returns with the November Internationals concluding on Saturday.

Colombian Andrés Zafra and USA eligible prop Dave Ryan will both feature as replacements for Agen. Their team has home advantage against powerhouses Montpellier. With the fixture falling during the international window it is an ideal opportunity for a home win.

Featuring as a replacement for Pau will be Ignacio Calles. The former Argentine u20s prop will have an opportunity of game time against Toulouse. Trinidad & Tobago born Steffon Armitage starts at flanker.

In Paris Juan Imhoff will start for Racing 92 against Grenoble. The Argentine speedster last played a test match in RWC 2015. Since then Argentina have developed notable wing options though Imhoff is well-placed to start in RWC 2019.

Down in Perpignan Castres will be looking for an away victory. Uruguay’s Rodrigo Capó Ortega will captain the side from the second-row. He is going to play for his country at RWC 2019, ending a remarkable wait dating back to 2003 in Australia. Benjamín Urdapilleta is pushing for a spot for Argentina. he starts at fly half against Perpignan.

Week 10 concludes on Sunday. State Français will be at home against La Rochelle while Clermont will take-on Lyon in a derby. Players from the Americas are expected to play in both games though line-ups will not be released until Saturday afternoon.
