Argentina Win Sudamérica U18s 7’s

Argentina are the 2018 Sudamérica U18s 7’s champions. The title was won international competition on Saturday and Sunday in Santiago.

Argentina were unbeaten in the two day competition. On day one Los Pumitas 7’s defeated Brazil 33-7, Chile 43-7, and Uruguay also by 43-7. In the Semi Final Argentina once again scored 43 points and kept Brazil scoreless.

In the final on Sunday Argentina downed the home side 26-17. Scoring first half tries were Franco Florio (2), and Valentín Bustos. It gave Argentina a 21-10 halftime lead. Chile would hit-back after the break but Los Pumitas responded and would win by nine points.

As the beaten finalists Chile finished in second position. Earlier Uruguay defeated Brazil 32-7 to claim Bronze.
