Uruguayans Set To Represent Sudamérica XV vs Chile

Seven Uruguayan players are set to represent the Sudamérica XV against Chile. They join the already confirmed 14 Argentine players with the remaining roster members to come from Colombia.

The Sudamérica XV last played in 2015. The selected composite side will face Chile and Paraguay this month, doing so under the guidance of Daniel Hourcade.

The matches are to take place in Santiago and Asunción on November 10 and 17 respectively. Game one is to be Chile’s warm-up ahead of taking-on the Maori All Blacks on November 17.

With Los Teros touring the UK and Europe there are no places for the senior roster members in the Sudamérica XV. Named in Hourcade’s team are five forwards and two backs. Among them is RWC 2015 Tero Manuel Blengio and Uruguay’s u20s captain Santiago Civetta.

The other players all have representative experience including playing for Los Teritos, Teros 7’s, the Uruguay XV and Uruguay’s test side.
