Imhoff grabs a double against Pau

Juan Imhoff went over for two further tries this weekend. Following on from his score last weekend in the Champions Cup against Ulster the Argentine speedster grabbed a double against Pau on Saturday. He did so in what was his 150th appearance for the French club.

Both of Imhoff’s tries against Pau came in the second half. They were the 5th and 6th scores of the match for Racing 92. An earlier scorer was Jordan Joseph, a France u20s player who is the son of Haitian immigrants. His place in the senior French roster is just a matter of time.

The same can be said regarding Imhoff and Los Pumas. A victim of Daniel Hourcade’s selection policies, Imhoff has not played a test match since RWC 2015. The question remains as to whether Mario Ledesma will select him for the upcoming November Internationals.

The roster which trained last week in Buenos Aires featured Sebastián Cancelliere, Bautista Delguy, Manuel Montero, and Ramiro Moyano are the specialist wingers. Emiliano Boffelli, and Juan Cruz Mallía trained as the roster’s fullbacks.
