Pro 14 – Week 7 Preview

Following a break for the European Champions Cup and Challenge Cup competitions the Pro 14 resumes this weekend. Week 7 of the Celtic-Italian-South African League sees four Friday fixtures and the remaining three matches taking place on Saturday. The following preview details the involvement from the Americas.

In Italy later on today Juan Pablo Socino will feature for Edinburgh. The RWC 2015 Puma has been named on the bench for the away fixture against Zebre.

Involved for the Ospreys against Connacht will be uncapped Argentine Guido Volpi. He will feature as a replacement flanker. Starting will be former USA age-grade representative Hanno Dirksen on the right wing.

On Saturday there will be Americas players in the three matches. In Italy former Argentina XV players Juan Ignacio Brex and Tomás Baravalle will feature for Benetton Treviso against Leinster. Brex starts in the mid-field while Baravalle will be the specialist replacement hooker.

In Ireland Munster entertain the Glasgow Warriors. The Scots have named Canadian speedster DTH van der Merwe to start the match on the right wing. USA Eagle Greg Peterson will be looking for game time from the bench.

Down in South Africa the Cheetahs face the Cardiff Blues. Involved for the Welsh region will be Samu Manoa. The Californian will feature for the Blues from the bench.
