Pro D2 – Week 9 Preview

Week 9 of Pro D2 will be played over the coming days. In the latest round of the France’s second division fixtures will be played on Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. The following preview details the involvement of the Americas.

The opening match of the round sees Brive at home against Montauban. Today’s match-up will not involve Americas’ players.

On Friday Eric Fry starts for Vannes at home against Carcassonne. Playing for the visitors will be uncapped Argentine forward Demian Panizzo, starting in the second-row.

Featuring for Bourg en Bresse will be Victor Damian Arias. The Argentine has been named as a replacement prop to face Colomiers. The visitors will have three Argentine players with Sebastián Poet starting at fly half and Martín Chiappessoni and Agustín Costa Repetto both featuring as replacements.

Jamie Cudmore’s Aix en Provence will be at home against the high-flying Mont de Marsan. Starting at tight head will be Leandro Mario Assi. Fellow Argentine props Jerónimo Negrotto and Carlos Muzzio have been named on the bench for Mont de Marsan. Uruguay’s Agustín Ormechea joins them, covering scrum-half.

Week 9 will conclude on Sunday with Bayonne at home against Charente. Both clubs are home to Americas’ players. Line-ups for the match will not be finalized until Saturday afternoon.
