Chile Ready for Valentín Martínez

The Federación de Rugby de Chile, Chile Rugby, has confirmed the twelve players that will play in this year’s Valentín Martínez tournament. The 2018 edition will take place on November 09-10 in Montevideo, Uruguay.

The Chileans will begin training together on Monday November 05 in Santiago and trae to Uruguay on Wednesday November 07. They will return home on the day after the competition of Valentín Martínez.

The traditional Women’s event has a history dating back to 1994 with Montevideo club Carrasco Polo having welcomed both you and women’s teams from the region. The competition is a fully established part of the Sudamérica Rugby calendar.

Chile’s roster contains players from traditional strong areas. But with a widespread geographical representation there are players from up and down the country involved. Names come from as far north as Arica to the southern city of Concepción. The most represented club is Viña Rugby Club, who are the current Chilean champions.
