Imhoff and Racing 92 Fly Past Ulster in Champions Cup

Juan Imhoff and his club Racing 92 flew past Ulster in the Champions Cup on Saturday. Playing at home in Paris Imhoff’s side were 44-12 winners. The second round triumph sees Racing 92 well placed in top position of the group after two rounds.

Round three of the Champions Cup will take place in December. Racing 92 will again be at home, this time up against the out-of-sorts Leicester Tigers. The challenging group also contains Wales’ best team, the Scarlets. Racing 92 won away in Llanelli in round one.

Imhoff’s try against Ulster came in the second half. It was part of a 44 point haul from the club who had been losing 12-0 early on in the match.

The Rosario speedster is the finest Argentine winger of his generation. A truly world class finisher his place at RWC 2019 is set in stone. The question remains as to whether Mario Ledesma will select him for the upcoming November Internationals.

A 38-man roster wil begin training in Buenos Aires on Monday. Sebastián Cancelliere, Bautista Delguy, Manuel Montero, and Ramiro Moyano are the specialist wingers. Also included are Emiliano Boffelli, and Juan Cruz Mallía as the roster’s fullbacks.
