Uruguay to play Fiji at Hartpury

Uruguay’s neutral-venue test match against Fiji on November 17 will take place at the Gillman’s Ground, on Hartpury University campus. Kickoff is set for 1pm local, 10am Montevideo time. The match will be streamed live by the University.

It’s an unusual choice for the fixture as the capacity of the grounds is only 1,500. The same fixture was held at Milton Keynes during the 2015 World Cup, drawing more than 30,000 spectators.

This will be the first time that Hartpury has hosted a full international test. The field currently serves as a home ground for Hartpury’s team in the Greene King IPA Championship as well as the College side in the BUCS Super League.
