English Premiership – Week 6 Preview

Week 6 of the English Premiership will be played this weekend. Fixtures are to be spread from Friday to Sunday in what is a special derby round. The following preview details the involvement of Americas’ players.

Friday’s fixture sees Bath at home to the unbeaten Exeter Chiefs. Left out of the home team’s 23 is Lucas Noguera Paz. His path bath to Los Pumas is not being aided by limited opportunities in the West Country. Meanwhile Santiago Cordero starts again for Exeter, this time reverting from fullback to the left wing.

On Saturday AJ MacGinty will start against the Newcastle Falcons. The USA Eagles fly half was forced out of last weekend’s match against Leicester due to an illness. Without him the team failed to kick goals, ultimately losing based on the this reason alone.

In Coventry the Wasps are at home to Gloucester. The Cherry-and-whites are now officially without Mariano Galarza. The Argentine second-rower has completed a move to France. The move this week is instant with him no longer playing in the English Premiership.

In London USA Eagles roadblock, Paul Lasike will start in the mid-field. In his first start for the Harlequins he is to be up against the reigning champions Saracens. Titi Lamoistele is to also start, playing Tight Head for Saracens. On the bench will be Marcelo Bosch. The RWC 2011 and 2015 Puma is now back to fitness following surgery.

Sunday’s English Premiership fixture sees the Worcester Warriors playing host to the Bristol Bears. Named as the Warriors’ replacement hooker is Joe Taufete’e, one of the leading players from the Americas in the 2018 June Internationals.
