Romania will play their November tests against both the USA and Uruguay at Ghencea Stadium in Bucharest. The name is somewhat misleading however as the actual site of the rebuilt Ghencea Stadium, also known as Steaua, is currently under construction for the 2020 European Soccer Championships. Also being renovated is the national stadium, the Arcul de Triumf.
The alternative site is a small grass venue with a capacity of only 3,000 currently though temporary seating is expected to be added. Other venues outside of Bucharest were not considered as the teams did not wish to travel outside of the capital city.
Also taking place at the venue will be a Repechage warm-up match between Kenya and Romania ‘A’ on November 3. The USA will play the Oaks on November 17 with Uruguay following suit on November 24.
