Delguy To Miss Facing Australia

Bautista Delguy is to miss facing Australia. The Pumas right winger was injured playing for Argentina against New Zealand in Buenos Aires on Saturday evening. Having taken a knock to the head by Codie Taylor he was forced off according to protocol with Sebastián Cancelliere replacing him in the opening half.

Also suffered a head knock in the match was fullback Emiliano Boffelli. He suffered an accidental knee to the head from Waisaki Naholo but will be fine to face Australia in Salta on Saturday October 06.

Mario Ledesma’s Pumas are to travel to Salta on Monday. He may require changes to his roster for the final round fixture of the Rugby Championship.

Missing from facing New Zealand was Ramiro Moyano. In his absence Matías Moroni moved from outside center to wing. Precautions have already been made as last week Ledesma trained with Sebastián Cancelliere, Juan Cruz Mallía, Manuel Montero, and Matías Osadczuk in Buenos Aires.

Mallía made his debut for Argentina in June and, despite missing Super Rugby this year by choice, Montero has been involved in the set-up for a number of years. Both alongside Cancelliere could be considered for starting spots in Salta. Osadczuk is uncapped and also less likely to face the Wallabies.
