Americas Rankings – September 30 2018

The Americas Rankings have been updated for September 30 2018. They have been recalculated following the completion of international competition this weekend.

Argentina’s home defeat against New Zealand does not see any change in the rankings. Argentina’s ranking going into the match was 79.02 points. New Zealand’s 92.52 was too much of a difference for any gain to be made from their conquering of Buenos Aires.

In Central America the 20th ranked Guatemala hosted and defeated the 22nd placed Costa Rica. The 18-12 victory means Guatemala overtake the Turks & Caicos Islands to now be 19th in the Americas Rankings. Costa Rica remain in 22nd.

International competition resumes on Wednesday. Peru will play for the first time in 2018 when they take on Costa Rica in Guatemala. Additional test rugby in the Americas will see Argentina and Guatemala at home to Australia and Peru respectively on Saturday.
