Pro 14 – Week 5 Preview

Week 5 of the Pro 14 will be played on Friday and Saturday. This weekend’s matches see rugby being played in Italy, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. The following preview details the involvement of Americas’ players.

In the Welsh capital on Friday the Cardiff Blues play host to the Cheetahs. The USA duo of Samu Manoa and Blaine Scully will not feature for Cardiff and nor will Ruben de Haas for the Cheetahs.

In Friday’s other fixture Edinburgh host Benetton Treviso in Scotland. RWC 2015 Puma Juan Pablo Socino has been named bench for Edinburgh. Wearing the opposite number for Benetton Treviso will be snapped Argentine center Juan Ignacio Brex. Not involved through injury is hooker Tomás Baravalle.

On Saturday Zebre host the Ospreys in Italy. Eduardo Bello is yet to feature this season for Zebre while rookie Guido Volpi will not play this weekend for the Welsh region.

The Glasgow Warriors have a host of injuries which sees a vastly changed side named to play host to the Dragons. Among the missing is Canadian speedster DTH van der Merwe with a groin injury.
