Mitre 10 Cup – Week 7 Preview

The Americas contingent rises to six this week as New Zealand’s Mitre 10 Cup begins its 7th week. Two matches have already taken place. Tyler Ardron played on the blindside flank and captained Bay of Plenty for the second successive game, losing 17-15 to Manawatu earlier today.

Friday will see unbeaten Auckland line up against Otago. Two Canada teammates could find themselves opposite each other in the lineout. Josh Larsen returns from an elbow injury to take up a bench spot for Otago. Evan Olmstead will start for Auckland, shifting from the flank to the second row, while USA international Mike Sosene-Feagai starts at hooker.

On Saturday the Eagles will have another representative as Tony Lamborn runs out on the blindside flank for Southland against Waikato. Argentine scrumhalf Nico Costa will be among the reserves for the Stags.
