Jamaica Men, Mexico Women qualify for Pan American Games

Jamaica Men and Mexico Women have qualified for the Pan American Games. They sealed their spots at Lima 2019 by virtue of winning the Rugby Americas North Men’s and Women’s Sevens this weekend in Barbados.

The 2018 RAN Men’s and Women’s Sevens were played at Holders Hill Polo ground in Holders Hill, St. James. Excitement surrounding the event were big with Men’s and Women’s spots at the 2019 Pan American Games, and 2019 Hong Kong Sevens up for grabs.

Mexico qualified for the Pan American Games by defeating Trinidad & Tobago 15-0 in the Women’s Cup Final. They did so despite having lost 14-5 on day one against the Dominican Republic.

The Crocs, meanwhile, overcame Guyana 22-17 to win the Cup Final. It was the closest match involving Jamaica’s Men’s 7’s in the two day tournament.
