Pro 14 – Week 4 Preview

Week 4 of the Pro 14 takes place on Friday and Saturday. The latest round sees a different look with Ireland, South Africa, and Wales hosting matches. The Italian and Scottish sides are all to play on the road. Involved are to be RWC 2015 players who played for Argentina, Canada, and the USA. The following preview details their involvement.

On Friday the Cardiff Blues will have home advantage against Munster. The Welsh region have named USA Eagles captain Blaine Scully to start on the right wing. It is to be the first game of the season for the Californian who is now back to fitness. His Eagles teammate, Samu Manoa, remains injured, forcing Blues’ supporters to wait for the Enforcer to debut in the Pro 14.

Two of Saturday’s Pro 14 fixtures will involve Americas’ players. In South Africa Greg Peterson will start in the second-row for the Glasgow Warriors. The USA forward will be joined by Scotland’s Tennessee flier Tommy Seymour and Canadian international DTH van der Merwe in the starting line-up as the wingers.

In the Irish capital Leinster face Edinburgh. The match will see Juan Pablo Socino making his first start in the Pro 14. The Argentine mid-fielder joined Edinburgh this season from the Newcastle Falcons in England. He will play 12 in Dublin on Saturday.
