van der Merwe Scores in Winning Effort in South Africa

DTH van der Merwe scored in a winning effort in South Africa. His second half score helped the Glasgow Warriors to an away Pro 14 victory over the Cheetahs.

The Canadian international played left wing and was partnered by Tommy Seymour on the right wing. The Tennessee native, Seymour was also among the try scorers in Bloemfontein.

The Glasgow Warriors remain in South Africa this week. They will face the Southern Kings in Port Elizabeth on Saturday September 22.

Both van der Merwe and Seymour are expected to play international rugby in November. van der Merwe’s Canada will be playing against Germany, Kenya, and Hong Kong in the special RWC Repechage Winner tournament. Seymour will have the chance of adding to his 43 caps for Scotland.
