Argentina Press Conference

Argentina Captain Agustín Creevy and Head Coach Mario Ledesma were upbeat at the Press Conference earlier today. They were congratulated by the Australian media and also asked questions about not only their own situation but also Australia’s.

On Australia’s Gold Coast Los Pumas completed their first win over the Wallabies in 35 years. It took Argentina’s tally in the Rugby Championship up to 8 competition points. This sees a clear game now existing between 3rd (Argentina) and 4th (Australia).

Los Pumas now return home to prepare for rounds 5 and 6. The South Americans will host New Zealand in Buenos Aires and Australia in Salta. The match against New Zealand has already sold out with Salta expected to follow.

No matches will be played next weekend with coaches and players instead preparing for the final rounds. Argentina are seeking an historic third win in a Rugby Championship tournament. Based on today’s performance they are well placed to make it a reality.
