Top 14 – Week 4 Preview

The Top 14 season continues this weekend. In Week 4 of the 2018-2019 competition France’s elite clubs will take to the field on Saturday and Sunday. Involved are to be a number of players from the Americas. The following is a preview detailing those involved.

First up will be Lyon at home against Montpellier. The home side have named two former Pumas in their 23 for the match. Francisco Goméz Kodela will start at tight head prop while Manuel Carizza will cover second-row from the bench.

Reigning champions Castres will be chasing the maximum when they play host to bottom seeds Grenoble. Uruguayan Rodrigo Capó Ortega will captain from the second-row. Also starting will be Canadian Taylor Paris on the right wing and Benjamín Urdapilleta at fly half.

Next season will see Mauricio Regiardo taking-over as Head Coach of Castres. He will move there from Agen. On Saturday Agen are at home against Bordeaux. The team named sees Argentina’s official third choice hooker, Facundo Bosch starting out of position at flanker. Colombia’s Andrés Zafra will feature from the bench.

The match of the round sees 3rd hosting 2nd. The fixture sees the historic rugby capital city of France, Toulouse being the setting for the visiting Racing 92. Starting on the left wing for the visitors will be Juan Imhoff.

Week 4 concludes on Sunday with two matches. La Rochelle are at home against Perpignan while Stade Français receive Toulon in Paris. Line-ups for both matches will be named on Saturday afternoon.
