English Premiership – Week 3 Preview

Week 3 of the English Premiership will take place from Friday to Sunday. Three teams will be looking for their first wins of the season while only Saracens and the Exeter Chiefs won their first two matches. Involved this weekend will be players from the Americas. The following is a preview detailing those involved.

Friday’s match is to be a West Country classic. Gloucester will be at home against the Bristol Bears. The cherry-and-whites will play the match without the in-form Mariano Galarza.

Another Puma in-form in the English Premiership is Santiago Cordero. The former Jaguar will start on the left wing for the Exeter Chiefs on Saturday. He scored an impressive try last weekend. Exeter are at home to the Sale Sharks this weekend. The Sharks continue with Eagle AJ MacGinty at fly half and St. Lucia speedster Marland Yarde on the right wing.

MacGinty’s Eagles partner Paul Lasike will also be playing on Saturday. The former Utah Warrior will make his third appearance in the English Premiership, doing so from the bench against Bath. Puma Lucas Noguera Paz will not play and us yet to do so for Bath this season.

Eagles prop Titi Lamoistele will tale to the field for Saracens. He has been named on the bench to face the Northampton Saints upon Saturday. Not involved are Pumas Marcelo Bosch, and Juan Figallo, both of whom are injured.

Eagles hooker Joe Taufete’e will start for the Worcester Warriors. He will do so against the Newcastle Falcons and is to be partnered in the front-row by Callum Black. The former Ulster prop turned-down selection for the USA in June. Santiago Socino is to be Newcastle’s replacement hooker.

Week 3 will conclude with the West Midlands vs East Midlands clash on Sunday. The Wasps are to be at home against the Leicester Tigers. The Tigers are without Gastón Cortés who is in Australia on Rugby Championship duty. He will, however, not face the Wallabies on Saturday.
