USA South Panthers Win in Austria

Game two of the Central European tour saw the USA South Panthers winning in Austria. Taking-on Austria’s test team the USA South Panthers were 51-0 winners in Vienna this afternoon.

The fixture was game two of a three-match tour. In the tour opener the USA South Panthers defeated Hungary 35-12 in Budapest. Today’s win brings the tour results to 2-0 in favor of the Panthers. The toughest match, though, is yet to come as the USA South face the Czech Republic on Saturday.

Against Austria the USA South Panthers were in firm control throughout. They went into half time leading 24-0 and converted it into a 51-0 victory.

The scoring began in the 15th minute with inside center Cormac Keenan scoring. Lucas Baistrocchi added the extras before doing so minutes later following winger Willis Hardaway scoring.

23 minutes into the game and the USA South Panthers had their third try. Second-rower John Bryant went over and Baistrocchi converted to give the North Americans a 24-0 lead.

Baistrocchi added a 46th minute penalty to continue the scoring. It would be followed by outside center Ross Depperschmidt scoring in the 54th minute.

A double from Zach Blalock took the USA South Panthers up to 51 points, an impressive lead that sees them well positioned ahead of their trip to Prague.
