Huete Trades Dax for Charente

Chilean Pablo Huete has traded Dax for Charente. The move comes with immediate effect and sees the second-rower back in the Pro D2. Huete had made the move to Dax from Bayonne but after playing just one pre-season friendly for Fédérale 1 side Dax he now joins Charente.

The 21-time capped Chilean forward had a clause in his contract allowing him to a move in case of an offer from a higher ranked team. The offer sees him moving north to secure his future in France’s second division.

Charente are to be in action on Friday, playing host to Montauban. The third round fixture of the Pro D2 will see Charente chasing their opening win while Montauban are in each of maintaining an unbeaten start to the season.

Huete’s upcoming debut will see him continuing his extended career in France. He arrived in 2011 to play for Castres and went on to play for Pau, Massy, and Bayonne. In the 2017-2018 season he played in 25 Pro D2 matches for Bayonne, starting 19 of them.
