Rugby Championship Match Highlights – South Africa vs Argentina

Round one of the Rugby Championship has come and gone. It featured Australia vs New Zealand and South Africa vs Argentina. The home side was victorious in both matches.

Of the two the closer was the second with Argentina scoring three tries against South Africa. The Springboks were the better side, running in twice the number. They did so with the backs playing exceptional rugby in the second half.

For Argentina the match was historic. It marked the first under the coaching of Mario Ledesma. The performance was notably better to that from the 2017 Rugby Championship as well as the 2018 June Internationals.

With five more rounds to follow in the Rugby Championship there is plenty to look forward to. There is also a wide range of possibilities in the matches. Argentina host South Africa in game two next weekend in Mendoza. Game one in Durban went to the Springboks, will game two be a repeat?
