Day Two Victories for Mexico and USA South

Day two victories were recorded by Mexico and the USA South Panthers today. The teams played in the second day of competition as part of the 2018 RAN U19’s, part of Rugby Americas North’ Super Week, in Mexico City.

From July 08 to 13 the Rugby Americas North (RAN) Super Week sees Men’s U19’s and Women’s Rugby 10’s competitions taking place in the Mexican capital.

The opening match day was on Sunday with Mexico defeating Jamaica 65-6 and the USA South running-out 25-12 winners over the Cayman Islands.

Both Mexico and the USA South backed-up from their wins on Sunday by winning their second round fixtures. In the opening match of the day Mexico overpowered the Cayman Islands, winning 49-17. In the day’s other fixture the USA South defeated Jamaica 23-12.

The Super Week continues in Mexico City on Thursday. It will be the start of the Women’s 10’s with the USA South facing the Bahamas in the opening match. Additional Thursday fixtures see Mexico facing both Jamaica and the USA South while the Bahamas second fixture will be against Jamaica.

The Men’s U19’s will both resume and conclude on Saturday. In the final round of matches the Caymans Islands face their island neighbors Jamaica while Mexico will take-on the USA South in the tournament deciding fixture.
